Plantain Stem / Vazhappindi Paruppu Curry

Ingredients for the Vazhappindi Paruppu curry
2 cup Chopped Vazhapindi
1 cup cooked dal ( Moong / Tuar )
1 1/2 cup grated coconut
1/4 turmeric powder,
1 tsp chilli powder,
jeera powder
3 flakes garlic
For seasoning Vazhappindi paruppu Curry
4 tsp oil
2 red chillies, broken into bits
 1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 cup coconut for frying ( tempering )
curry leaves, sat to taste

How to prepare Vazhappindi Paruppu Curry :
Add chopped Vazhapindi and the cooked dal together. Mash the mix well so that they combine well.
Grind to a paste grated coconut, chilli pd, garlic and jeera. Add to the dal and indi mix.
The temper with oil, mustard, red chillies and grated coconut .
Pour over the dal and mix well.
This should be of the Erissery consistency.
