Laccha Parathas are layered parathas which are very tasty and delicious. If you can follow these below mentioned steps correctly, you can make it easily at home.
Ingredients needed for making Lachha Paratha Recipe :
2 Cups whole wheat flour
1 Cup ghee or clarified butter
Salt to taste
How to prepare a Lachcha Paratha:
Take a wide plate / Thali and put in flour and salt. Knead the flourinto a smooth and pliable dough using water and leave aside.
Combine 1 tbsp of flour with 3 tbsp of ghee and keep aside.
Now divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
Take one of them in your hand and divide that into two balls.
Roll out each portion into a long, finger shaped, cylindrical roll.
Give the first portion a spiral shape.( like a coiled snake)
Apply little flour on a rolling surface and gently roll out the spiral into a circle of about five inch diameter.
Apply the flour-ghee mixture on top of the circle.
Repeat the procedure for the next portion and put it over the first circle. Press both together lightly and then place them on a tava.
When one side is fried, flip to the other applying ghee
Apply ghee on exposed side and fry the paratha till crispy and golden brown.
Lachcha Paratha is ready to serve with any spicy side dish you can think.
