Mangalorean Chicken Curry

Ingredients needed for the Mangalorean Chicken curry
1/2 kilo Chicken

1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cumin (Jeera) powder
1/2  tsp Pepper corns
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus)
8-10 whole  red chillies
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 cup Cocunut
1" Cinnamon
2 tsps of Tamarind paste
2 Onions sliced
2 Tomatoes, sliced fine
3 garlic flakes
2 cups Water
Oil
Salt to taste

How to prepare the Mangalorean Chicken Curry
Heat oil in a non stick fry pan and fry the sliced onions till they are golden.
Add all the chillies, garlic, masalas, and coconut. Fry till they are golden in colour. Remove from heat When cool, grind the fried ingredients with tamarind to a smooth paste.
Boil the chicken pieces with tomatoes and salt.
Add the ground masala paste to the boiled chicken and mix well.
Cook on low heat till chicken pieces and the masala blend well and a nice aroma comes up.
Serve garnished with chopped coriander leaves with Rice / Parathas / Pulao
