Caramel Custard
Ingredients:
1/2 liter milk
4 eggs
1 cup sugar
few drops of Vanilla essence
2 tbsps custard powder ( Vanilla flavour )
Method:
Mix the custard powder and a little milk till smooth. The lumps should not be there.
Beat the eggs till fluffy and light.
Warm the remaining milk over fire, add the custard mixture and the beaten eggs. Blend well.
Heat a vessel with a teaspoon sugar and a little water. When it turns brown remove from fire and let cool.
Add the custard mix to the vessel and cover it with a lid.
Steam in a boiler or a pressure cooker ( without weight ) for half an hour or till the pudding is set.
Your caramel custard is ready to serve.
When it is cool just lay a plate underneath the vessel and drop the pudding upside down on the plate. The pudding will just look delicious with the brown caramel coating on top.
