1 cup maida
1 cup atta ( Wheat flour)
salt to taste
How to prepare Irachi Pathiri:
Knead a stiff dough with the ingredients and a little water. Shape into lime sized balls and roll them into small chappathies.
Keep them aside.
For the Irachi / Meat filling for the Pathiri
500 grams beef
4 onions, chopped
1 piece ginger, chopped
5 flakes garlic, chopped
3 green chillies, chopped
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
How to prepare Irachi Pathiri:
Heat oil in a fry pan, saute chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic till they are golden.
Add chopped / minced beef to this and mix well.
Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, saute for a minute or two.
Cover and cook till the mince meat gets cooked.
Open the lid and let the excess water dry out.
Now take the pathiris one by one , put the filling in one half and cover it with the other half. Seal the ends witha little water.
Deep / Shallow fry in oil as you wish.
Serve with a sid dish.
