Ingredients needed for the dough :
2 cups whole wheat flour / Atta
1 tbsp. Oil
Water for kneading
A pinch of salt
Ingredients needed for Palak filling :
1 cup Spinach / Palak cleaned,
1 tsp. red chili powder
1/2 tsp chat masala
Salt to taste
2 tbsp atta
Oil / Ghee for making the parantha
How to prepare Palak Parantha:
Mix whole wheat flour, oil, salt and enough water nicely. Knead well to get a smooth dough.
Wash and Clean spinach of the dirt and dry the leaves with a kitchen towel. Chop the leaves, keep aside.
Mix spinach with the red chilli powder, chat masala, salt to taste and 2 tbsps of atta together.
Divide the dough into small balls and then shape into puris.
Put the filling in the center and then shape the round into a ball again.
Roll out again gently, be careful to see that the filling stays inside the paratha.
Heat a tava or a griddle and fry the paratha . Pour ghee / oil on both sides so that the parathas get crisp.
Serve with pickles and fresh curds.
