Potato Bhajee Recipe

Ingredients for the Potato Bhajee:
2 cups potatoes, chopped into small pieces
3/4 cup chopped onions (1 big sized onion chopped )
4-5 flakes of garlic chopped
1 tspful chilli powder ( if preferred, can add a little more )
2 cloves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Oil as needed for tempering
2 tbsps chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Dry Roast the following ingredients and powder fine:
1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds
6 cloves
2″ piece cinnamon
A pinch asafoetida

How to Prepare the Potato Bhajee Curry:
Heat oil and add 2 cloves.  When the cloves splutter add finely chopped onion.
Saute till they get golden.
Add  peeled and chopped potatoes, a cup of water, salt, chilli powder. Cover, when the water comes to boil, simmer and cook till the potatoes are 3/4th cooked.
Add crushed garlic and the spice powder. Mix well.
Cook till  all the flavours blend to gether and give you a nice aroma of the cooked dish.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve hot with poories as well as a side dish with steaming hot plain rice.
