Ingredients:
2 potatoes boiled , peeled and mashed
1 onion chopped
2-3 green chillies
2 stalks of Curry leaves ( pinched into small bits)
1/2 tomato ( optional)
1/2 cup carrot grated
2 tsps oil
1/2 tsp mustard
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Method:
Heat oil in a fry pan, splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves and chopped onions.
When they turn transparent add grated carrot and mashed potatoes. Stir well till they blend well.
Add turmeric powder and salt to taste and half a cup of water.
If you like a little sourness to the dish, add choppped tomatoes and simmer till the gravy thickens.
Serve with hot pooris.
