Ajwain Poori

Poories can be made into different varieties. Just add one extra ingredient to the dough while you knead it the taste and the flavour changes with the ingredient used. Here I have used Ajwain ( Omum in the south) Try this out , I am sure you will like it.

Ingredients:
2 cups wheat flour
3-4 tbsps oil
2 tsp ajwain
oil for deep frying
salt to taste

Method:
Mix wheat flour, ajwain, salt and oil together nicely and then add water little by little to get a stiff dough.  Cover and keep aside for an hour.
Mak small sized balls out of the dough. Roll them out nicely using a little flour to dust.
Heat oil in a deep frying pan. Deep fry the Pooris to a golden brown colour and remove.
Drain on a kitchen towel and serve hot with any spicy dish.
