Small Potatoes Fry Recipe

Ingredients:
Take 500 grams of the small potatoes also called as baby potatoes. Wash nicely and cook well in just enough water.You can also pressure cook for about 2-3 whistles or simmer for 5 minutes after the first whistle.
Peel carefully without breaking the Poatoes, then prick with a fork slightly. Keep aside.
2 tbsps oil
1 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
1 tsp cumin seeds powder
2-3 red chillies broken into two pieces
handful curry leaves ( chopped nicely)
Salt to taste
Method  for making Small / baby Potatoes fry:
Mix all the poders Chilli, cumin, turmeric, asafoetida and salt to taste with a little water to make a paste out of it.
Apply this paste over the potatoes adding a little water if necessary. The potatoes should get coated with the paste. Keep aside for half an hour.
Heat oil in a non stick fry pan, so that ypou can use less oil to get the potatoes somewhat crispy.
Splutter 1/2 tsp mustard, add broken red chillies and curry leaves .
Add the masala coated potatoes and stir well. Cover and cook for a while.
Simmer and keep stirring every now and then, so that the potatoes get roasted uniformly and the raw smell of the masala is removed.
