Ingredients:
3 cups of shredded cauliflower ( medium sized flowerettes )
1 medium sized tomato chopped fine
1/2 cup small onions chopped
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Pepper powder
Salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard
2 stalks curry leaves
1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Method:
Soak the flowerettes in salted water for 10 minutes. Drain and steam the flowerettes till three fourths tender. Remove and keep aside.
Mix chilli powder, Coriander powder, Pepper powder and salt to taste. Apply the mix on to the flowerettes, keep aside for about 20 minutes.
Heat a non stick fry pan, add oil. Splutter mustard and curry leaves.
Add chopped onions and fry till they are golden, add chopped tomatoes and cook till they are pulpy.
Add marinated Cauliflower in to the pan, mix well. Simmer till all the, masalas blend well and the dish becomes dry.
while cooking keep mincing the flowerettes with the spatula till they blend well. Once done sprinkle garam masala powder and chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
Note:
You can serve this with hot and steaming rice, Rotis, phulkas etc.
