Paneer Tikka is one of the simplest of recipes and a hot favourite too.
How to prepare easy Paneer Tikkas
1. Cube paneer into small squares, marinate them for an hour in a paste of curds, ginger, chillies, coriander and salt. Then you can put these paneer squares on skewers and bake / grill in oven. If you can add tomato, onion, capsicum squares alternately onto the skewers, it will enhance the taste. Once done sprinkle salt, chilli powder and chat masala and enjoy the tikkas.
2. For a quicker version, just dry roast the plain paneer squares on a tava until brown on both sides, sprinkle salt, chilli powder and chat masala and serve with coriander/mint chutney.
3. Paneer Vegetables stir fry - To make this dry side dish, cube paneer, onions and capsicum into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan, add jeera, and the chopped vegetables and saute for a minute or two. Then add paneer squares, either raw or deep fried, cook for 2 minutes.
Add salt, chilli powder, garlic-ginger paste, and a dash of tomato puree or tomato sauce. Saute till all the masalas get blended nicely. Mix well and serve with Pulao / Rice as a side dish.
