Palak / Spinach Cutlets

Palak Cutlets
These are healthy recipes made from Spinach leaves / Palak Leaves. If you want to avoid oil, this can also be baked in the oven. You can serve these cutlets as an evening snacks for the kids coming back from school. These are very healthy and nutritious for the growing children.

Ingredients needed 
1 cup chopped Palak leaves
2 potatoes
1 tbsp bengal gram dal
1 green chilli chopped
1 tsp coriander leaves chopped
1/4 tsp garam masala powder
 1/4 tsp pepper powder
3 tbsps bread crumbs
salt to taste
oil

How to prepare Palak / Spinach Cutlets 
Boil and cook potatoes, peel and mash them nicely.  Cook Bengal gram dal separately till tender, mash  and keep aside.
Mix in  chopped green chillies, coriander leaves  with chopped palak leaves crushing them with hand.
Add mashed potato. mashed dal, garam masala powder, pepper powder with salt to taste to the palak leaves mixture.
Mix the dough nicely so that all the ingredients blend well together.
Divide the dough into small balls  and shape them in to the shape you like  and deep fry till golden coloured.
Drain and remove.
Serve with Pudhina Chutney or Tomato Sauce.
