Recipe for Aval Nanachathu / Kuzhachathu

Ingredients needed for Aval Nanachathu / Kuzhachathu
2 cups Aval / Beaten rice flakes
2 tbsps Jaggery grated / as per taste
1 - 2 tbsp grated coconut

How to prepare Aval Nanachathu / Kuzhachathu
Just clean the Beaten Rice Flakes.
If they are the thick red rice flakes you can was and leave for a half a minute.
Drain and keep aside.
Mix Jaggery and coconuts with the soaked and drained Beaten Rice Flakes.
Mix well. Cover and keep it till you serve.

Points to Note:
There are many types of Rice flakes are available. Some are very thin ones.
When you use them just washing in the running water and draining them will be enough.
If you soak them they will get mashed and will taste watery.
You need to soak only the thicker variety that is the handpound rice flakes  and that too only for  short time.
